Chodesh

Elohim's ways are not man's ways. We invite you to celebrate this New Year Elohim's way. Join us and return to the ancient paths.

Thus says יְהוָה : “Stand in the roads and look. Ask for the ancient paths— where the good way is—and walk in it. Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We won’t walk in it.’

Using The Sun and The Moon

It continues to be fruitful to study the events during the 4th millennium. The biggest lesson to be learned so far, for me, is how the sun and the moon work together.  Yes, it is true that His ways are not man’s ways. BUT this does not mean that Elohim is not using both means to accomplish His plan.  In fact, when the two are considered together there are new revelations and discoveries for some of HIS appointed times. The sun was certainly used by Moshe and Joshua, and quite possibly during the days of King David. But after the temple was completed The Disciples Table can no longer say that during the 1st Temple period they used the sun for their method of counting days. The proof is found in looking deeper into this verse:

2Chronicles 7:10

On the twenty-third day of the seventh month he sent the people away to their tents, joyful and glad of heart for the good that the Lord had done for David, for Solomon, and for His people Israel.

So to use the term "1st Temple period" method of reckoning vs. "2nd Temple" method of reckoning for the counting of days is incorrect.  It’s a journey everyone.  So long as we draw near to HIM, keep our head down and search for the Truth in a way that comes from our heart, and we don’t lose sight that we must constantly humble ourselves we believe He will feed us the manna that we hunger for.

This chodesh we have added the days observed using the waxing crescent  moon.  Moving forward you can see at a glance the relationship between the two.  We are coming to the understanding that they work together.  Everything is in relationship. When reading  some of the narrative portions of Genesis we find that the text is written in such a way as to not ADD judgement to an incident.  Rather it is revealing details.  So often we want to focus on whether the actions taken were right or wrong.  When the point is that they just are. The division between believers over which ONE method to observe is a mute point in our opinion. Now that's a revelation even we did not expect.  But we believe it is true.
